About this product
Amlozaar H Tablets 30's contain a combination of amlodipine (5mg), losartan (50mg), and hydrochlorothiazide (12.5mg). This medication is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that prevents blood vessel constriction, and hydrochlorothiazide is a diuretic that removes extra water and certain electrolytes from the body through urine.
Dosage/Directions
Take the prescribed dose as directed by your healthcare provider, usually once daily.
Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Take at the same time each day to help you remember.
Avoid grapefruit juice while taking this medication, as it can increase the levels of amlodipine in your blood.
Avoid taking this medication within four hours of going to bed due to its diuretic effect.
Side Effects
Common side effects may include dizziness, headache, tiredness, ankle swelling, and dry mouth. Serious side effects are rare but can include severe allergic reactions, liver problems, and significant drops in blood pressure. If you experience any severe side effects, seek medical attention immediately.
