Amlozaar Tablets contain a combination of amlodipine and losartan, used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, while losartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that prevents blood vessel constriction. Together, they help lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart-related complications. The usual dosage is one tablet taken once daily, with or without food. Common side effects include dizziness, headache, swelling of the legs or ankles, and tiredness. Serious side effects may include severe allergic reactions, liver problems, and significant drops in blood pressure. Patients with kidney or liver disease, heart problems, or high potassium levels should use this medication with caution.
