Amtel 40/5 Tablets contain a combination of telmisartan and amlodipine, used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension). Telmisartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB) that prevents blood vessel constriction, while amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels. Together, they help lower blood pressure and reduce the risk of heart-related complications. The usual dosage is one tablet taken once daily, with or without food. Common side effects include dizziness, headache, swelling of the legs or ankles, and tiredness.
