Malanil Paediatric 62.5/25mg Tablets 12's

Malanil is a fixed dose combination product which acts as a blood schizonticide also has activity against hepatic forms of Plasmodium falciparum. It is indicated for;

• Prophylaxis of Plasmodium falciparum malaria
• Treatment of Plasmodium falciparum malaria

Because Malanil is effective against drug sensitive and drug resistant P. falciparum, it is especially recommended for prophylaxis and treatment of P. falciparum malaria in areas where the pathogen may be resistant to other anti-malarials.

Dosage & Administration

The daily dose should be taken with food or a milky drink at the same time each day. In the event of vomiting within one hour of dosing a repeat dose should be taken. Low strength MALANIL tablets should preferably be swallowed whole. If difficulties are encountered when dosing young children, the tablets should  be crushed just before being taken and mixed with food or a milky drink.
