Pernex AC 5% Gel

Pernex AC 5% Gel contains benzoyl peroxide, an antiseptic used to treat acne (pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads) on the face, back, and chest. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria on the skin, reducing painful lumps, and clearing dirt and excess oil. Dosage/Direction: Apply a thin layer of Pernex AC 5% Gel to the affected area once or twice daily after cleansing. Start with a lower strength and gradually increase if needed. Avoid contact with eyes, nose, mouth, and mucous membranes. Do not use on sunburned, windburned, dry, or irritated skin. Side Effects: Common side effects include dry skin, redness, itching, skin peeling, and a burning sensation at the application site. These effects are usually mild and decrease with continued use. Rarely, severe allergic reactions such as rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, or trouble breathing may occur. Discontinue use and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any severe reactions.
