Here are some guidelines for using Preparation H Ointment:

• It’s designed for rectal use only and should be applied up to four times daily, especially in the morning and at bedtime, after each bowel movement, or as directed by your doctor.
• Before use, clean the area with mild soap and water, rinse well, and pat dry.
• Apply a small amount of ointment with the applicator tip both internally and externally to the affected anal area.
• After each use, clean the applicator tip well and replace the protective cover.

It’s important to note that if symptoms do not improve within 7 days, if there is bleeding or worsening pain, or if you suspect you have a serious medical problem, you should consult your doctor promptly. Additionally, do not use this product in children under 12 years of age without consulting a doctor.
