Beta carotene is a member of the family of carotenoids that are found abundantly in plants, fruits and vegetables. It has potent antioxidant activity to protect body cells from oxidative damage from free radicals and environmental toxins. Beta carotene is a precursor to vitamin A and can be converted to vitamin A in the body as required. Vitamins A contributes to the normal function of the immune system and to the maintenance of normal vision, skin and mucus membranes. Directions One tablet daily with food.
