About this product

Rizact 10mg Tablets contain Rizatriptan, a selective serotonin receptor agonist (triptan) used for the acute treatment of migraine headaches with or without aura. This medicine works by narrowing dilated blood vessels in the brain and blocking pain pathways, thereby reducing migraine symptoms such as headache, nausea, vomiting, and sensitivity to light and sound. Rizact is not intended for the prevention of migraines or for cluster headaches.

The therapeutic effect of Rizact can usually be observed within two hours of administration, providing rapid relief during an attack. However, it should not be used in patients with uncontrolled hypertension, cardiovascular disease, peripheral vascular disease, or hemiplegic/basilar migraine due to increased risks. Common side effects may include dizziness, drowsiness, dry mouth, and fatigue, while rare but serious effects can include chest pain, irregular heartbeat, or shortness of breath. Patients should consult a healthcare provider immediately if severe symptoms occur.

Rizact 10mg Tablets should be taken strictly under medical supervision. The usual adult dose is one tablet at the onset of a migraine attack, with a maximum of 30mg in 24 hours. It is not habit‑forming but should be avoided during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless deemed necessary by a doctor. Always follow your physician’s guidance to ensure safe and effective use.
