Tobrex Eye Drops contains tobramycin, an antibiotic used to treat bacterial infections of the eye.
Dosage/Direction: Instill 1-2 drops into the affected eye(s) every 4 hours. For severe infections, the dosage may be increased to 2 drops every hour until improvement is observed, then gradually reduce the dosage as directed by your healthcare provider. Tilt your head back, pull down the lower eyelid to create a small pocket, and squeeze the dropper to release a drop into the pocket. Avoid touching the dropper tip to any surface to prevent contamination.
Side Effects: Common side effects include mild eye irritation, itching, redness, and blurred vision. Serious side effects may include severe burning, stinging, or swelling of the eye, and allergic reactions. If you experience any severe or persistent symptoms, contact your healthcare provider immediately.
