Dosage/Direction
- Adults: 500 mg on the first day, followed by 250 mg once daily for the next 4 days.
- Children (6 months and older): 10 mg/kg on the first day, followed by 5 mg/kg once daily for the next 4 days.
- Administration: Take with or without food. Shake well before use.
Side Effects
Common side effects include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain. Serious side effects may include allergic reactions, liver problems, and QT prolongation. It is contraindicated in patients with known hypersensitivity to Azithromycin or other macrolides.What it's used for
